A number of Fosamax Side Effects Lawyers have observed an increase in Fosamax drug claims. Toyota has issued yet another vehicle defect recall, this time for 17,000 luxury Lexus HS 250 hybrid models. According to a news report in Consumeraffairs.com, U.S. government tests show they could leak fuel in a rear-end car accident increasing the possibility of a fire. Toyota has also announced that it will stop sales of all its Lexus HS 250 hybrids while it finds a way to fix the problem.

Raj Kumar, 25, was killed in a Riverside car accident after the van he was driving veered off Highway 62, near Twentynine Palms, and rolled over. According to a news report in The Press-Enterprise, Kumar and his passenger were driving on the highway the morning of June 27, 2010, when the 2007 Dodge van went out of control and across opposing traffic lanes, before rolling over landing on its roof. Kumar was pinned under the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, 19-year-old George Boulden, was treated for minor injuries and released. An investigation is ongoing.

Jessica Lopez Rojas, 18, was killed and a 17-year-old passenger was seriously injured in a Los Angeles car accident the morning of June 26, 2010. According to a news report in the Pasadena Star-News, the fatal car accident occurred on the eastbound 10 Freeway west of Del Mar Avenue in Rosemead. California Highway Patrol officials say Rojas was driving a 1999 Honda Civic at an unknown speed when the car drifted toward the right side of the road and hit a steel barrier. Rojas died at the scene, while the boy who was her passenger, was transported to an area hospital with major injuries. Investigators are still trying to determine what caused this crash. Anyone who saw this accident is asked to contact CHP officers at 323-980-4600.

A woman who was killed in a rollover accident in Sacramento on the 5 Freeway has been identified as 49-year-old Lolita Buenviaje. According to a news report, this deadly rollover accident that occurred the night of June 13, 2010, was the result of a tire blowout. Buenviaje was ejected from the 2005 Chevrolet she was traveling in and suffered fatal injuries. While three passengers sustained minor injuries, Arnel Buenviaje, the 46-year-old driver of the car was seriously injured. The injured victims were transported to area hospitals.

Suntech Enterprises Inc, a Los Angeles area importer, has issued a defective product recall for 8,400 baby walkers. According to an Associated Press news report, the products were manufactured in China and imported by the company. Apparently, these baby walkers lack mechanisms to prevent babies from falling down the stairs. Also, these walkers can fit through standard doorways. Therefore, their size doesn’t prevent them from entering rooms with stair access. So far no incidents have been reported in connection with these products. The walkers were sold at children’s product stores in several states including California, New York and Texas from January 2007 through December 2009.

Several crib manufacturers have issued a defective product recall for more than 2 million cribs because of concerns that babies can suffocate, become trapped or fall from the cribs. According to an Associated Press news report, Evenflo, Delta Enterprise Corp, Child Craft, Jardine Enterprises, LaJobi, Million Dollar Baby and Simmons Juvenile Products are all involved in this crib recall.

Michael Charles McAdams, 51, was killed in a car accident on Highway 101 the night of June 20, 2010. According to a news report in the Santa Barbara Daily Sound, McAdams was traveling north in a 2001 Mercedes SLK320 when he swerved to the left, drove across the center divider and then entered the opposing lanes of the highway near the Hobson Road undercrossing. The Mercedes was then hit by two other vehicles — a Toyota 4Runner and a Dodge Ram truck. McAdams died at the scene. The Dodge’s driver, a 52-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries and the driver of the 4Runner, a 29-year-old man, was uninjured. An investigation is ongoing.
