Rollover Crash in San Diego Kills Woman

A woman was killed in a San Diego car accident after her Dodge Durango struck a power pole and overturned on the front yard of a home. According to a 10news report, the fatal rollover crash occurred early morning on August 25, 2010 on Magnolia Avenue, near Holy Meadows Drive, in Santee. The woman was the sole occupant of her sport utility vehicle and died at the scene. No one else was injured. Officials are still investigating the cause of the crash. They are looking into whether speed or alcohol could have played a part in this fatal crash.

Fatal San Diego Car Accident

Saba Shirazi, 32, was killed in a San Diego car accident after she lost control of her vehicle and crashed on the 5 Freeway in San Diego. According to a news report in The San Diego Union-Tribune, the fatal crash occurred the night of July 1, 2010 near Gilman Drive in La Jolla. Shirazi was traveling north on the freeway when her 1997 Infiniti struck the median for unknown reasons. Her vehicle then rolled over in traffic lanes and was hit by a Ford Focus. Shirazi died at the scene. The driver of the Ford suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Sacramento Rollover Accident Caused by Tire Blowout

A woman who was killed in a rollover accident in Sacramento on the 5 Freeway has been identified as 49-year-old Lolita Buenviaje. According to a news report, this deadly rollover accident that occurred the night of June 13, 2010, was the result of a tire blowout. Buenviaje was ejected from the 2005 Chevrolet she was traveling in and suffered fatal injuries. While three passengers sustained minor injuries, Arnel Buenviaje, the 46-year-old driver of the car was seriously injured. The injured victims were transported to area hospitals.

Rollover Accident on Los Angeles Freeway Injures Four

Four people were injured in a fiery rollover accident on the 210 Freeway the afternoon of June 19, 2010. According to ABC and Los Angeles Times news reports, the accident occurred on the westbound 210 Freeway in Sylmar on a transition road west of Yarnell Street. A car carrying four people, including a 13-year-old child, crashed into several vehicles and rolled over before catching on fire. Officials said that the driver and passengers were ejected from the vehicle. The 13-year-old girl was the most seriously injured and was airlifted to an area hospital in critical condition. A 21-year-old woman, a 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were also injured and transported to the hospital.

Tire Blowout Caused Rollover Accident in Riverside

Five people were injured in a Riverside car accident after a tire blowout sent the car out of control. According to a KPSP news report, the injury collision occurred the afternoon of May 26, 2010, when the car was traveling on the 10 Freeway, close to Indio. California Highway Patrol officials say one of the car's tires blew out. The driver of the car lost control and the vehicle overturned. Five victims who were trapped in the vehicle were extricated by firefighters. One of the victims was airlifted with critical injuries while four others sustained minor to moderate injuries. All were transported to local hospitals. An investigation is ongoing.

I sympathize with all the victims of this horrific crash. It is indeed fortunate that no one was fatally injured. I wish all the victims here, especially the critically injured person, the very best for a quick and complete recovery. They will be in my thoughts and prayers.

SUV Rollover Accident in San Diego Kills Two

Jennifer Foster, 38, and a 7-year-old boy were killed in a San Diego car accident the evening of April 16, 2010 after the 2004 Land Rover they were in overturned and crashed on the Interstate 8, close to Alpine. According to a news report in The San Diego Union-Tribune, the fatal rollover accident occurred in the westbound lanes of the freeway near Tavern Road. The SUV, which was traveling at an unknown speed, swerved left and rolled over numerous times, before coming to rest in the center divide. California Highway Patrol officials said both, Foster, who was driving the Land Rover, and the boy, were ejected and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Kern County Car Accident Kills Man

Walter Otto Herbeck, 72, was killed in a Ford Explorer rollover accident after the SUV in which he was a passenger was struck by an out-of-control pickup truck. According to a news report in the Mountain Enterprise, the fatal crash occurred the afternoon of April 10, 2010 on the Interstate 5 in Frazier Park. A 2007 Ford Ranger pickup truck driven by Anthony Templeton Jr., 27, went out of control, crossed lanes and struck a 1999 Ford Explorer. Both vehicles went off the freeway and down a steep embankment.

The Explorer rolled over at least twice, California Highway Patrol officials said. Herbeck sustained fatal injuries while the driver of the Explorer, 63-year-old William Wilhelm, was airlifted to a local hospital with injuries. Templeton and his passenger, 51-year-old Thomas Johansen, suffered moderate injuries.

Yamaha Rhino Suit Filed in Connection with Fatal Rollover Accident

The families of two 11-year-old girls who were killed in a Yamaha Rhino ATV accident have filed a product defect lawsuit alleging that the vehicle's serious design and engineering flaws caused the fatal accident. According to a news report in Consumeraffairs.com, the tragic accident occurred October 2008 in Olive Branch, Mississippi. Emily Ann Bates and Lauren Dilworth, both 11, were trying to steer their 2005 Yamaha Rhino back to the street after it left the pavement. The Rhino then rolled over, killing Dilworth instantly. Bates was pinned underneath the vehicle and also sustained fatal injuries.

Three Injured in SUV Rollover Accident

Three people sustained injuries in an SUV rollover accident in Santa Barbara after the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed. According to a news report in The Daily Sound, the 2004 Chevy Trailblazer was traveling north on the Highway 101 near Gaviota Beach Road, when the driver lost control of the SUV. The vehicle rolled over and came to rest on its roof. All three occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries ranging from foot, head and neck injuries to facial injuries. All were wearing seatbelts. California Highway Patrol officials do not suspect the involvement of drugs or alcohol. The victims were hospitalized for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

SUV Rollover Accident Kills Two

A husband and wife who were killed in a San Bernardino car accident have been identified by authorities as George Perry, 58 and Clara Perry, 59. The Victorville Daily Press reports that the fatal rollover crash occurred the night of March 28, 2010 on the Interstate 15. George Perry was behind the wheel of the family 2001 Ford Explorer SUV when it went out of control, veered across all lanes and crashed. The SUV rolled over several times and landed in a ravine. The Perrys died at the scene. Two children, who were in the SUV, were taken to a local hospital for treatment, but it is not clear if they were seriously hurt.

I hope the two children who were in the Explorer did not sustain any serious or catastrophic injuries. I wish these children the very best for a speedy and complete recovery. A woman who was killed in a San Bernardino car accident after being ejected from a 1995 Jeep, has been identified as 46-year-old Debra Ann Davis. According to a news report in The San Bernardino Sun, the driver of the Jeep lost control on the 15 Freeway near Kenwood Drive after the left rear tire blew. Davis was pronounced dead at the scene and other passengers were taken to area hospitals. The extent of their injuries is not known.

Man Killed in SUV Rollover Accident

A man who was killed in a San Bernardino car accident the morning of March 20, 2010 on the 15 Freeway has been identified as 25-year-old Moises Avila Gonzalez. The San Bernardino Sun reports that Gonzalez was a passenger in a Chevy Trailblazer SUV whose driver lost control and crashed in the northbound lanes of the freeway. The SUV rolled over. Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene. The California Highway Patrol is investigating this fatal crash.

San Bernardino Rollover Accident Fatally Injures Woman

Debra Ann Davis, 46, was killed in a San Bernardino car accident after being ejected from a 1995 Jeep, which rolled over after its left rear tire blew out. Moises Avila Gonzalez, 25, was killed in a San Bernardino car accident after the driver of an SUV in which he was a passenger, lost control and crashed in the northbound lanes of the 15 Freeway. Woman Killed in San Diego SUV Rollover Accident

Sarah Rachelle Phillips, 31, was killed in a San Diego car accident after losing control of her SUV at a highway ramp and crashing. The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that Phillips was heading south on the I-805 in a Nissan Xterra, the morning of February 27, 2010, and had taken the connector ramp to the southbound 15 Freeway. It was then that she hit a puddle. Her SUV spun out of control, veered off the roadway and rolled over several times. Phillips was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Rollover Accident Fatally Injures Two in San Bernardino

Two men, identified as 22-year-old John Kaminski and Truman Charles Switzer, 24, were killed in a Ford Bronco rollover accident in San Bernardino County the morning of January 17, 2010, the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin reports. The driver of a 1991 Ford Bronco was going south on I Avenue in Hesperia, when he lost control near Alston Avenue. Police said the Bronco rolled over at least three times. Kaminski and Switzer, who were sitting in the back of the Bronco, died at the scene. San Bernardino County Sheriff's officials said Kaminski was wearing a seatbelt, but that Switzer was not buckled up. Switzer was ejected from the vehicle. The condition or extent of injuries suffered by the driver and front passenger is not yet known.

Orange County SUV Rollover Accident

Cuong Thach was lucky to escape injuries in an Orange County SUV rollover accident, which occurred the morning of January 12, 2010, The Orange County Register reports. The accident occurred on the northbound 57 Freeway near Tonner Canyon Road when a rear tire went flat and Thach's Toyota 4Runner rolled over several times. He was able to walk away from the crash. California Highway Patrol officials said Thach got the flat from a bald back tire.

It is indeed fortunate Cuong Thach was not seriously injured in this Toyota 4Runner rollover accident. In such cases, however, it would be in the best interests of accident victims to visit their doctor right away, for diagnostics tests. It has been my experience that not all injuries surface right after the crash. I'm relieved no one else was involved or injured in this accident.

SUV Rollover Accident in Los Angeles Injures Nine

Nine people sustained injuries, one critically, in a Los Angeles car accident after a Toyota Sequoia SUV rolled over on the 210 Freeway. According to a news report in the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, the crash occurred the evening of January 9, 2010 on the eastbound 210 Freeway in Irwindale when the SUV rolled over and went about 30 feet down an embankment.

California Highway Patrol officials said a 40-year-old man, who was a front passenger, was not wearing his seatbelt. He was ejected and sustained critical internal injuries. Two infants, two children and four other adults were also transported to the hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. The SUV's driver apparently told officials that she lost control of the vehicle because another driver made a sudden lane change in front of her.

My heart goes out to the critically injured victim in this case. I wish him the very best for a quick and complete recovery. I also hope and pray that the other injured victims make a full recovery.

Fatal San Diego Rollover Car Accident

Ray Castro, 16, was killed in a San Diego car accident after the car in which he was a passenger went out-of-control and fell off an elevated freeway interchange in Mission Valley, 10news reports. California Highway Patrol officials said Ray was traveling in a 1993 Corolla that overturned on the connector between the 15 and 8 freeways, the night of January 5, 2010. The teenager was ejected from the sedan and died as a result of blunt-force injuries shortly after the crash. Several others were also seriously injured in this crash. CHP officials are still looking into what caused this fatal car accident.

I offer my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Ray Castro for their shocking and sudden loss. Apparently, he died minutes before his 17th birthday. Tragic! Please keep this grieving family in your prayers. I also hope and pray that the other injured victims of this crash make a quick and complete recovery.
